Friday 10th August at 3:15pm, The Auckland Univeristy Medieval Guild is organising a visit to the special collection at the Auckland Library in town. We are specifically going to find out about their large collection of medieval books and scrolls, looking at the calligraphy and illuminations.

If anyone would like to come along, it's free, just meet us in the entrance foyer of the library at 3:10pm.

And on Wed the 15th August, from 7pm till 9pm, we are holding an introduction to calligraphy session at our weekly Guild meeting. If you want to come along and have a play with calligraphy stuff, feel free to pop along. We are asking for a large gold coin donation ($2) to help cover the inks and paper. If you have books or calligraphy pens, feel free to bring these along as well.

This week our meeting is held in the Club Space room, on the Uni campus. If you want better details of how to find this room, email me off list.

Anybody is welcome to come along.

Regards,
Karen
