Here are some pics from DBK of the scabbards they've made for my Albion swords. The one in the dark scabbard is a Sherriff, the other is a I:33 trainer. The Sherriff is of type XIV, that was popular from 1250 to about 1340. It is 86cm long, whilst the I:33 is 96.5cm. The scabbards are of mid 14th century style.

Cool, I like the I:33 sword its just plain and looks like it would do the job with no hassels or questions asked.
I can't decide weither I would want one of those or another Liechtenauer..two would be cool..

The Liechtenauer is cool, its flash but not to flashy, 1.58kgs so its not to heavy, though the Meyer is 1.4?kgs and is said to be the faster of the two but the Liechtenauer looks like a real sword and not a trainer [thats what I like about it] and its pretty tough. I've had mine for near 2.5 years and its still going strong, although it has a slight crossguard wobble and the odd creak where the pommel meets the grip, but then its gone through pell work [don't use it on that much now] solo, paired and freeplay and has been used almost on a daily basis since I aquired it. I've put it up against sword, shield, buckler, staff, spear, rapier...rapier people get frustrated cause they can't control the sword, but lets just say you end up doing a lot of winding and useing the four hangings alot! Plus it hits hard, though you can control this and limit your partners pain hahah...
So to say I love it, and want a sharp simular to it but then I can't use it unless the world turns to shit so I think another Liechtenauer will be the way to do it! Its so pretty and I want a pretty one to go aoohhh haaaa at...
Oh yea I love winding and binding with this sword..

You go for it Jim. Totally on topic. I was sharing the photos as a celebration
of swords.
Poor rapier people. Trying to fight with their slender swords against
something designed for war. Stick to affairs of honour and urban brawling I
say!
As for sharps, I'd love to try cutting into a carcass with the Duke. Quite like
the look of the Crecy, Landgraf, Steward, too. Ahhhhhh choices! Definitely
preferring a cutter at the moment. Despite the practicality of a pointy,
reinforced tip for harness fighting.

VERY nice swords John, Albion do know how to do the job.
Have a Tinker Pearce custom (Irish hand and half) on order.
On the subject of trainers I bought the A&A Spada da Zogho - great sword.
Would be keen to try it against a Leichtenaur. Since I bought it, Collin has brought his higher end trainers as well - it eats the Tinker Hanweis.

Stained yes, but I like to have clean tools. I'm a teflon warrior..
One of my training partners [she has a Hanwei/Tinker bastard] got angry one day and fired a very strong Zornhau at me so I responded with a zorn of my own at a low speed, so to say now she has a nice bite in her blade. Shes more mindful of wild attacks now.. oh yes an absetzen I love it!

I had a Windlass Falchion. It was made of butter. It'd get notches even if I
engaged the enemy with the flat. Fortunately there's a sucker born every
minute.... I sold it for $5.00.
