Yes, it was good publicity and Jezz, Simon & co did well.

We have had a lot of other good publicity recently as well. For example I did a 20 minute interview on Radio NZ about a month ago on the sports aspect of jousting and a number of other smaller broadcasters have also posted pieces on Harcourt Park.

At the moment I have 2 people in TV3 wanting to do stories on jousting.

I know that the jousting gets the lion's share of most of the re-enactment coverage in the media but it nevertheless is good publicity for the hobby in general. Whenever I get the chance in an interview, I always push the wider picture that it is a team effort and the jousters can't do what they do without the support of the foot crew and other re-enactors.

Very nice!!!! Its good to see publicity that shows all the training and skill thats required rather than geeks in metal whacking each other as seems to be normal!
