Hi Folks,

At the present time this is just in the planning stages, but I am interested in knowing who would be interested in taking part in a workshop with one, possibly two high-end European instructors.

The idea would be to roll this in with another event, (probably Taupo 2011, once I get the paperwork sorted).

This would not be free. I plan on subsidising part of the cost from the event budget, but potential workshoppers would be expected to pay for the privelege of instruction at the hands of a master; the amount payable would depend entirely on the interest in the community. Expect it to be around $100.00 each.

So, given that this is provisional, who's interested?
If you're interested, what would you like to cover?

If we can get about 20 people, we can do it.

Ta,

Nic

I would be keen. The only proviso with holding it just before or after Taupo is that it would create logisitical problems for me if I am bringing horses to or from Taupo because the priority is to get them up and back again in a safe and timely manner.

Hell yes.

I think we will have a couple from Sable Hart. There may be more, it just depends on how much Keith is looking at, if each is a $100 that is $200.

Not complaining about costs, I think that this is brilliant, will be really good if held at Taupo 2011, but it may mean either one or the other. I am fortunate in this respect as am into Archery and not wielding a big hunk of steel about. Bit long in the tooth for that nowerdays.

Bring it on. Very Happy Laughing Very Happy Laughing

Don't go out of your way just to accommodate me Nic.

But if you were to organise such an event, on a purely selfish level, I would go for a 16th C workshop Very Happy

Folks, I've just got off the phone to Paul Macdonald in Edinburgh.

He is very keen to come down for the event, to teach a workshop and share knowelege with us.

He's not confirmed though, as sometime in October, he's becoming a daddy for the first time, and it may be that this will take precedence over a trip to New Zealand in January.

I'm hoping he's able to call me back with good news soon. If Macdonald can't make it, there are a couple of others I will call. Stay tuned for more info.

Meanwhile, for information on Paul and what he can share with us:

All the best,
