based on a bow kept in the Wallace Collection, 15C German sporting bow, about 400 pound draw

I should clarify, this magnificent bow is not mine    I did get to handle it but it is not my style at all. I don't know how much Tod was charging for it but it would have been worth every penny.   The draw weight of this bow is approximately 400lb. Oddly the cost of my bow, complete with goats foot lever, three practice bolts and three authentic bolts, was close to 400 pounds sterling( it took some saving up      )
