Some very nice crossbows folks. I especially like the windlass model, what did you use for the windlass cords?
About shooting it in your section though, be careful. My own crossbows are very low power using a cut down fibreglass bow as a prod. A few sums shows that they still have about the same energy as a Glock 9mm bullet and could do some serious damage in the wrong place.
Those bows are both able to be cocked by hand!
Right about the release though, that and the angle of the prod to the tiller are the 2 really tricky things about crossbow making.

The windlass cords are the softest rope available from Bunning's Warehouse. Can't re-call what it is called.

At a pinch I can just pull the new bow. It's not easy, but it can be done; the windlass works wonders - a real back and arm saver. Laughing

I would have thought that there was enough com at taupo last year being as a girl took out Saturdays shoot
