I didn't see that one. It was at the International Living History Fair, held twice a year. The comp runs various shows through the year, that was the final in October.
The fella in the white shirt is Roger, who owns Lancaster Armouries, and they sponsor the comp, which is all full contact.

Posted this one about 18 months back I think.

The bigger dude was outclassed by the little dude and a flat top will always cave when hit like that.
Notice that the little dude had sod all damage to his helm, not because he didn't get hit (he gets a few good hits) but because his helm is all glancing surfaces, his pauldrons and upper arms will be a bit dented though because thats where most of the force terminates after glancing off the helm.

Still a bloody good fight.

Cheers

Wonderful stuff, but what is the scoring?

I counted several head, body, arm and leg shots for both fighters, who wins and how?

Count the dents later?

I heard a comment, "Thirty Second Warning!" so it was a timed match. Number of good strikes in the time allowed? Who counts them?

I'm not sure of the scoring, I think it is to do with the hits. Roger's the Marshal too. You could try contacting him if you want, web address is

You're welcome, he's a really nice guy. If you don't get a reply it's only 'cos he's busy. If that happens, send me a message, I'll get on to him.

Dayna and I will second that. We met Roger and his family in the UK and they were really friendly.
