A call to arms.

Hi guys, here is something I have noticed, there are a bunch of clubs that really enjoy playing a more armoured style of fighting with more enthusiastic blows and fewer restrictions on where they can hit. I am not against this at all, what I have played of this style is great fun. There are some potential pitfalls of course but I was battling with friendly enthusiastic positive warriors and it was great.
I know it can be done in brilliant fun and with great safety.

But I don’t see you guys so much at regular events.

So my question is this.
If I sacrificed some of my own fighting and participation at a medieval encampment that traditionally fights light to run a heavy field, would the guys who were playing at Harcourt on the display list come and give it a go? We would need at least a score of warriors in encompassing armour and with experience to make this brilliant. Also some loaner kit for enthusiastic converts.

What say you, will you take up the gauntlet?
