Something fun and useful today. A Fire Pit Trivet!

I built this one for Gregor the Drummer

You can cook on this with a flat-bottomed pan or pot. With the triangle middle you could also cook with a round bottomed cauldron.

The dimensions are 270mm across the top circle, or roughly 10 1/2 inches. The height can be from 280mm, 11" to 200mm 8" by rebending the legs.

Legs are made from 1/4 inch mild steel so you can do this by hand on site depending on the ground you are faced with.

Everything is hand forged and riveted, no welding, and I left the tool marks in for the sake of Interesting. I also hammer-roughed up the bar stock a bit to get a better "look".

I would make more if people were interested in having one. Contact me off list at oskar_der_drachen@xtra.co.nz if you would like to order one. More detail in the Flikr page through the link.
